Why don't you tell people what the Federal Reserve really is? Here is a link that will open people's eyes to the real culprit to the biggest depression in world history. This has nothing to do with the US. It is about who controls the money.

Bernanke's views on the Great Depression are the same as those of Milton Friedman, as he has publically noted a number of times - which proves nothing apart from the fact that Bernanke has wasted much of his academic career.

Although the media seem obsessed with portraying him as a moderate and not as ideologically libertarian as Greenspan was (who was a huge fan of Hayek, Ayn Rand and all sorts of other figures we all know and love from the extreme right), in reality there is little to indicate that Bernanke is much different. As he noted, he's a Republican - which to me is politicising a position that people like Bernanke themselves pretend is entirely separate from ideological and party politics.

Bernanke's ideas regarding giving good information are economically sound, but frankly the guy's far more problems than he can sort out fiddling with interest rates, inflation and other Friedmanite/monetarist preoccupations.
